About Barbara Eisner, DVM, CVA
Holistic Veterinary, Animal Herbal Medicine, Animal Acupuncture
Graduated college as a chemist and worked both for Lever Brothers and General Foods for a number of years before applying to vet school. It was no surprise that Dr. Eisner gave up chemistry to become a veterinarian as helping animals had always been her true passion.
Dr. Eisner graduated from the University of Pisa, Italy and worked for other vets before establishing the Northside Veterinary Clinic with her husband, Dr. Daniel Leiman. She obtained certification in Veterinary Acupuncture from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 1998, and is a member of the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture. Dr Eisner performed much of her equine acupuncture internship at New York's Belmont Race track and her small animal internship with International Veterinary Acupuncture Society instructors.
She also trained in Chinese Herbal Medicine at Tufts University and has completed numerous courses in Chinese and Western herbal medicine.
In her spare time, Dr. Eisner likes to ride horses and practices martial arts.
